Top Ten & All-Stars “All In” And Excited For USA Nationals
FARMINGTON, Minn. (July 1, 2011) Following the completion of last weekend’s FANS Fund voting, the top ten FANS Fund drivers as well as the two All-Star drivers were called this week to verify their attendance at the USA Nationals presented by U. S. Steel. In years past, this process typically took several weeks to finalize the driver line up but this year it took one phone call to each of the twelve drivers. The overwhelming response from every driver and team… “we are all in and look forward to coming up to Cedar Lake Speedway.”
One of the more interesting conversations of the week was with the FANS Fund leading vote recipient Brandon Sheppard. Brandon is the current points leader of the Northern All-Stars Late Model Series and the sanctioning body has a series race scheduled August 6th at Farmer City and then at his father’s racetrack, Shepps Speedways on August 7th. The point fund for winning the NALMS is significant and Sheppard knows that by missing the race at Farmer City could cause him the championship. Sheppard’s reply, “This FANS Fund is a great deal and the opportunity to race for $50,000 is to hard to pass up… our team will be there.”

Incredible Final Week Yields Talent Laden Driver Line-Up
FARMINGTON, Minn. (June 26, 2011) After an incredible week of constant changes and a phenomenal drive by fans to donate and vote, the 2011 FANS Fund voting is complete and has delivered a diverse and talented crop of racers. For the ten FANS Fund drivers, nine of those will be making their first trip ever to “Wisconsin’s Fastest Piece of Real Estate.” Drivers in this year’s FANS Fund will represent the states of Louisiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Tennessee with five drivers coming from Illinois. Thank you to the fans who supported our blockbuster event this year and the race teams that worked to make their fans aware of the program by getting them involved. The voting process during this year’s FANS Fund has been the most intense and exciting ever!
With the final donation total of $18,040 far exceeding anyone’s expectations, we will be taking ten (10) FANS Fund drivers and two (2) All-Star drivers for the 2011 FANS Fund. Through the voting process, these drivers have earned their right to the $1,500 to offset their travel expenses as well as the contingence prizes that are available. Beginning Monday, all drivers will be contacted to confirm their selection into the FANS Fund driver listing and their attendance at this year’s USA Nationals presented by U. S. Steel. A final confirmed drivers list is expected to be posted on or before Friday, July 1st. Below is the final update on the driver voting total for this year with the drivers invited highlighted in red. If a driver does not accept his invitation, the next driver with the highest number of votes will be invited.
